Taste of DC has come, and depending when you read this blog post, gone. Other than a couple of logistical problems on Saturday, it was another success. The crowds were big, the vendors really showed up making it a fun time. I went on Sunday for a couple of hours and took some pictures I wanted to share. Here they are.
The first vendor I went to was Pie Five Pizza which is opening a location in Tenleytown. I got a slice of the Athenian, pictured, and it was pretty good.
I saw this awesome tower of burgers at Plan B Burger's stand and had to take a picture of it.
A shot of the trophies on at The Tender Rib, which I saw was drawing crowds the whole day.
A sushi burrito from Rolls By U in Arlington. I saw people walking by with these and I knew I needed to get hip.
A shot from the Capital Candy Jar, which was torching mallows up all weekend. It was cool how all of it was done right in front of you. It ended up as this beauty below.
Action shot of the sauce pour over a beef brisket slider from Sloppy Mama's Barbecue food truck.
DC tastes good.
